The Mooney Mite was built in 1950, in Wichita, Kansas. It took it's first test flight, October 12, 1950, 2 hours local, by A.W. Unger.
The last entry before dismantling was on June 4, 1974, by Olyn Putchett. Total hours 1,489.35
Purchased by Jerry B. Bishop, Wichita, Kansas, May 30, 1978, from Eugene Polhemus, Carney, Nebraska.
Returned to Wichita for complete restoration.
Home for the Mooney Mite tail number N481M is Sacramento, CA and the Mooney belongs to Sacramento City College.
